Last updated 4 October 2026. Angelo Greco, Italy.
Who is responsible
Angelo Greco, an individual based in Italy, is the data controller for this website. Contact: via github.com/grecoangelo (a contact email will be added here).
What data is collected
- Contact. If you contact me through GitHub or by email, I receive the details you choose to send.
- Analytics. Only if you accept analytics cookies: pages visited, approximate location, device and browser type, referrer, and a shortened IP address.
- Hosting logs. The hosting provider may keep technical logs (IP address, time, requested page) for security and operation.
Why and on what legal basis
To reply to you (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b) and (f): steps before a contract and legitimate interest). To measure how the site is used, only with your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)).
Tools and services used
- Hosting: your hosting provider (to be named here once the site is deployed).
- Fonts: Google Fonts. Your browser loads font files from Google, which therefore receives your IP address.
- Analytics: Google Analytics, only after you accept, and only once it is enabled on the site.
- Links: GitHub. Their own privacy policy applies once you leave this site.
Sharing and transfers
I do not sell your data. It is shared only with the services above. Some of them (such as Google) may process data outside the EU, under Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
How long I keep it
Messages: up to 12 months after our last contact, unless we work together. Analytics: according to the retention setting of the analytics tool, at most 14 months.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct, delete, restrict or export your data, object to its use, and withdraw consent at any time. Contact me using the details above. You can also complain to the Italian data protection authority, the Garante (garanteprivacy.it), or to the authority in your own country. Visitors from outside the EU, such as the UK or California, have the rights their local law gives them, and I will honour them.
Children
This site is not aimed at children under 16.
Changes
I will update this page and its date when something changes.
Using this site
By using this site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.
What the site is
A personal portfolio of an IT student and developer. Mentions of projects, writing or availability for freelance work are information, not an offer. Any paid work needs a separate written agreement between us.
Ownership
The site design, text and my original project content belong to Angelo Greco. Third-party names, logos and trademarks belong to their respective owners. The Arch Linux logo is a trademark of Arch Linux. Tux the penguin was created by Larry Ewing. These elements are used for decorative and informational purposes as part of a personal portfolio. Please do not copy the site as a whole or present it as your own.
Code and tutorials
Code snippets, tutorials and examples are shared for learning and are provided as is, without warranty. See the Code and IP Disclaimer below.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, I am not liable for any loss or damage from using the site, its code or its links, including loss of data or income. This does not limit liability that cannot be excluded by law, and it does not affect your mandatory consumer rights.
External links
I am not responsible for the content of other websites.
Governing law
These terms are governed by Italian law and applicable EU law. The courts of Italy have jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer rules let you use the courts where you live.
Changes
I may update these terms. The date at the top of this section shows the latest version.
What this site stores
The only thing stored by default is your cookie choice, kept in your browser so the banner does not ask again. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies are used.
Analytics cookies
If you accept, basic analytics cookies (Google Analytics: _ga and _ga_*, which last up to about two years) may be set to show which pages are visited. Nothing is set if you decline.
Opt out or clear cookies
- Use the Cookie settings link in the footer to change your choice at any time.
- Delete cookies in your browser settings (Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge all have a "Clear browsing data" option).
- Install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on from tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Code snippets, tutorials and project code on this site are provided as is, for educational and portfolio purposes, with no warranty of any kind, including fitness for a particular purpose or security.
Reuse
- If a repository has a LICENSE file, that licence applies to that code.
- Snippets shown on this site without a licence may be reused and adapted for personal, learning and non-commercial projects, with credit to Angelo Greco. For commercial use, please ask first.
- The site design, branding and written content may not be reused without permission.
